Castle 2050 is here!

I’ve just spent the past twelve weeks writing a short dystopian podiobook (podcast + audiobook) for a project on museum futures.

In 2050 all funding to arts and heritage has been cut to fund the military. One day, Ilham East, of Nottingham, stumbles upon the abandoned ruins of Nottingham Castle, where she meets a team of artists and curators, who are ready for a revolution.

Set in the not-too-distant future, this dystopian story explores a bleak future of museums, as well as themes of rebellion and the role of museums as activists.

You can listen to the story on Spotify! I hope you like it.

In other news, extra dates have been added to ‘Liberated Voices: Stories of Women In-Justice‘ at the National Justice Museum! The exhibition is now on until the 12th of June!
